Management Team

Organizational and operational structure for human rights management

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries operates the Human Rights Management Committee to ensure a structured approach to human rights management practices. The Committee is in charge of making key decisions concerning human rights management. The ESG Promotion Division, which is the team dedicated to this endeavor, collaborates with seven relevant departments to manage and improve human rights risks. Based on this collaborative structure, we are continuously strengthening human rights management throughout the company and ensuring accountability in our corporate operations.

    Management Committee
    Roles of the Human Rights Management Committee HHI operates a Human Rights Management Committee that engages executives and managers in charge of the relevant departments, chaired by executives in charge of ESG. The Human Rights Management Committee reviews decision-making matters and outcomes associated with the implementation of human rights management and grants approvals concerning our Declaration of Human Rights Management, establishment and amendment of our Human Rights Management Code of Practice, human rights impact assessments, and publication of human rights management reports.

    departments
    The ESG department is the dedicated organization for human rights management. It implements education and activities to strengthen human rights management and performs risk management roles. The dedicated department reports to the Human Rights Management Committee on key issues concerning human rights management, and reports to the ESG Committee under the Board when decision-making is necessary for important matters regarding human rights. Departments relevant to human rights management include HR, Safety, Purchasing, and Co-Prosperity. The dedicated team works together with the relevant departments to identify and address human rights risks in each area.
